This happened last weekend, that is 11th of December. Before going any further let me first tell you all something about myself. I am very impulsive guy, whoes actions are mostly governed by the an impulsive thought, and very seldomly measure the thoughts; their pros cons. And thats what I did on that day…and just when I was starting to regret it, the whole scenario changed.
So here is how it all happened!!
On the 10th night I was really disappointed, as yet another plan to go out got cancelled as my lazy friends :P chose the luxury of bed and blanket over the freshness of natural extravagenza. So on that night frustated I decided to embark on journey to Sinhgad with my cam(era) and pulse (ar), to catch the sunrise on the film. But as it goes “you are moulded the way your friends are”…even I found it hard to leave the cushy bed and warm blanket in morning…but then the angst to my rescure, the passion of photography pushed me out of the blanket and on to driver seat and there I was ready get cloaked by morning fresh aura.
As I started the journey, I was for first time in period of 3 months feeling the cool breeze of morning and that just took away all the laziness, that might have left, as it passed me. I went on and on stopping here and there as I wished to, taking out cam and giving pulse a rest. But to admit, it was cold and even the how much fresh one feels, the chill always puts second thoughts in the mind, and I was no immune to it. But the the reading of _ _ km left on GPS, pushed me that extra mile. and after riding for almost 2 hours I reached Sinhgad.
Ohh! you might be wondering what took me 2 hours to travel 51 kms !!!…Isnt it obvious, I got lost in the meandering roads between hills…but the gps was always to my rescue. Though it did fail during the last 10 kms of journey.
So I FINALLY reached Sinhgad fort at 9 am and I embarked on journey at 6:45 am, yes you got that right, sun was already out of his abode (damn you warm blanket !!!). After taking a brief pause to get my limbs moving again, I went from hill to hill taking panormas, and I got some really exhuberating shots. But shockingly I was bored after around an hour….but still tried to stick around for some more, could not manage more than 15 mins, so I returned to pulse at 10:15 am and their sat a man selling guava…hehe, I have been longing to have one….Thats when unexpected happened. I saw a group of Nirma Cognizanites, I was a bit taken aback, cause of a small grudge against nirmaites of esp EC n CE, but the boredom makes you do unexpected and I called them out. Again an impulsive action, which I was regretting as soon as I did when they invited me (as I was already bored and cool weather was replaced by scorching sun). But as impulsively I called their name, same way I decided to go ahead with them.
And then I had a real gala time, after a long time, with nirmaites. I also got opportunity to explore more of sinhgad. Whether it was pulling leg of kunti or having fun as rest pulled each other’s leg (except me)…it was awesome. Putting bets on whether gajjar will go on ropeway through valley or trying to pass on message to localite that we want “aalo pakodi” …it was all hilarious. And how can I forget Hitesh’s explaination of dance sequence of “sheila kejawani” :d…and dekhte hi dekhte…it was 2:30 pm, while I was leaving at 10:30 am.
Now when we started our descent down the hill, we were greeted by a well gelled traffic jam !!…so tightly gelled it was that I was not required to even start the pulse !!!! It was only about braking and releasing them. And guess what it was such high degree descent that once my pulse was 45…. !!!! :D
After the descent was over, it was just a few more shots at Khadakwasla Dam, and was after that rather a speedy journey back. When I finally reached reached back home, I was a content man having clicked size-able number of shots, run enough distance on pulse without scratch….last but not least, Enjoyed the Natural Extravagenza!!! after a long long time!!!!! :)
